Tropical Goth is an oxymoron in my opinion and was something that I thought didn’t exist until I heard Black Famingo. Comprised of multi instrumentalist/vocalists Kimi Recor and Ammo, the two met After a chance encounter at a Halloween house party in San Francisco’s Mission District. The duo became obsessed with each other, packed up their things and headed for Southern California where they began crafting their tunes.

When you listen to that tracks below you will hear these two witches brewing minor, soft-sounding stripped down arrangements with airy, reserved vocals that add that “darkness.” When they mix in a little flavor of the islands you have a potion that borders between light and dark.
