To kick of the holiday weekend, we have some new tunes from Bring on the Robots, the brainchild of Boston eclectic producer J. Moreau. Influenced by the likes of Moby, BT, Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack, Underworld and a slew of other electronic greats, Bring on the Robots’ is his outlet for experimenting with downtempo electronic music that gets straight to the point.
He sent us over a tune from his recently released EP, Current State, to check out called “Girl Never Met” and it is the perfect chill-out tune to kick of the weekend. From the beginning you hear Moreau’s minimalistic EDM style with a ton of ambience and lush synths that blends with a driving/steady kick to fit perfectly with the pitched up vocal sample that graces the whole track. Another thing I’m digging about the tune are the piano melodies that really accent the melodies as well as show the musicianship of Moreau.
Head on over to his website to check out the tune. If you dig it, listen to the rest of the EP on Apple Music and Spotify as well as look for him on tour in a city near you.
enjoY!
