New music today comes from NJ multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter, Herman Martinez. He has been in the music game for the past 16 years and his written over a hundred songs that he’s looking to share with the world.
He sent us over his solo album, Sloops Radio, a project he worked on with producer Ahmed Mahmoud to check out and we were definitely liking its shoegazy alt-rock vibe.
Listening to it sort of reminds me of a mix between Stone Temple Pilots and Soundgarden, you got that ironic, heavy at times guitar, and larger than life vocals drenched in reverb/delay. The sound is definitely on a different level. He mentioned that the album is a year and half in the making and it really shows.
Listen to a few track below and leave your thoughts in the comments. If you dig, you can pick up his album from his Bandcamp page
