Multi-talented artist, Quartez L. Binns, better known as Y.T (Yourz Truly), started out as a R&B artist and would later go on to prove to be very versatile as he took on Hip Hop as a freestyle rap battler, showcasing his lyrical skills when he was only in high school. One thing that has separated YT from the rest of the hip-hop crowd is his techniques. Known for his diverse style and musical creativity, he doesn’t tip-toe around originality like a lot of his peers, but rather spends time developing his material and craft.
He sent us over his latest single, “Going In For Life” and it is a straight up jam. When listening to the tune you can definitely feel/hear YT’s R&B influences. Smooth rhymes that border on melodic planes added on top of some throwback 90’s R&B vibes give this track massive hit potential.
