New music for your weekend, comes from LA artist, MJ Ultra. This artist got his start when he wrote and recorded a hip-hop remix of “New York, New York” for the movie, Friends with Beneifts. He has also worked with industry vets including Thirty Seconds to Mars, El DeBarge, Chali 2na, Eddie Griffin and Ruben Studdard. He has just released a new album called Ocean Drive which we had a chance to check out and we’re definitely feeling.
When listening to Ocean Drive I couldn’t help but think of a funky R&B mix of Jason Mraz and Andy Grammer. All the songs are smooth grooving and all-around fun. It really shows you what talent MJ Ultra has. Also, listening to the album, I can definitely say there are a few tracks that can make it into the charts. Overall its an excellent listen.
