Today’s tunes come courtesy of NY indie hip-hop artist, Doug Galiardo aka Doug G (also 1/2 of THE BROTHERHOOD). His style is blending old school hip hop production with lyrics that have raw emotion and depth — rhymes and beats most people can relate to.
We had a moment to check out his new single, “Halfemptyhalffull (Ft. Robert Rosenthal)”, and we can definitely say his sound is a blend of old and new. The record has this awesome chill out vibe to it that features tons of guitar licks and 90’s hiphop beats that just flow like waves through the sea. The lyrics, in which he opens up about his personal insecurities and weather or not he is on the right path, cuts through those waves like butter — a solid track indeed.
