New music this weekend comes from Seattle roots/rock band Whiskey N’ Rye. The band formed in 2013 and instantly gained exposure through their explosive live shows and great music. Their debut album was picked up by over 200 radio stations across the country, as well as TV shows and networks (The Real World, Kardashians, Nascar, Discovery).
This year, the band is releasing their sophomore album titled Sick Soul Summertime. They sent us over the lead single from the album which is also called “Sick Soul Summertime” and there is just something about the tune that makes you want more. The dirty guitars invoke that classic rock nostalgia while mixing in some Blues and good old fashion Americana in a pop friendly format. What I really like about these guys is that they keep the true spirt of rock and roll full force from beginning to end.
