Kat Edmonson (@katedmonson) – Summertime

Although having had no formal training, the 27-year-old singer Kat Edmonson made her mark in the jazz world with her debut release, Take to the Sky. The album features this amazing rendition of “Summertime” (see video above) which I’ve been playing on repeat. Icing on the cake? An outro consisting of lines from Nina Simone’s classic song, “Feeling Good”. Check it!
