Let me introduce you to White Lies, an UK nu wave/rock trio making my Tuesday morning a lot better. What struck me the most about this band is that the lead singer has a voice that reminded me of David Gahan (of Depeche Mode). When you add that with the 80’s joy division/new order sound they got going on, you have a piece of music that is sort of nostalgic and at the same time fresh.
The band has just released a free track of an amazing live version of their new single “Bigger Than Us.” The recording is from a recent “Sesiones Con Alejandro Franco” performance in Mexico.
White Lies sophomore album, Ritual, will be released on January 18th in North America on Geffen/Fiction.
