Pacha NY 5 Year Anniversary Schedule
—————————————-

Friday, December 3

PART I: David Guetta
Kicking off the 5-Year with a bang (or a boom-boom-pow?), Pacha welcomes Grammy Award-winning sensation David Guetta back to the booth from which he first rocked New York. In just four years, Guetta has gone from Ibiza’s favorite son and the creator of the infamous “F*ck Me I’m Famous” party, to every pop star’s go-to producer and an international star in his own right, gracing the cover of Billboard magazine and pumping out hits like Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” to his own “When Love Takes Over” with Kelly Rowland. Working with luminaries like Rowland, Ne-Yo and even Madonna, Guetta is an unstoppable force, championing dance music amongst the masses and the elite.

Saturday, December 4
PART II: Kaskade
Honest. Elegant. Beautiful. Such terms are rarely used to describe electronic artists and their music. But Kaskade is a rare breed.

The songwriter/producer/DJ/phenomenon is one of electronic music’s most sought-after emissaries, and one of its most beloved figures. Unaffected and laidback, he’s known to show up to gigs in flip-flops, ready to warm the room – to a simmer or a boil – with his unique brand of feel-good music. Fittingly, his just-released new compilation is titled “dance.love.”

Tonight, the DJ brings his dreamy-meets-tough style to Pacha, after successful New York sets at Roseland and Electric Zoo, and constant touring just about everywhere else. That’s right, in addition to all that love, Kaskade is a road warrior, playing a staggering 140-plus club and festival dates worldwide each year, including Global Gathering, Nocturnal Wonderland, Field Day, and Coachella, where he shared a stage with Madonna.

Friday, December 10
PART III: Cadenza Vagabundos with Luciano and Friends
Back in May, Luciano made an unexpected move that rocked Ibiza: The master of techno and house (with a Chilean flare), and poster boy for DC10’s Monday morning Bacchanal Circoloco, announced that he was packing up his tricks and taking them across the island to Pacha for the 2010 party season.

After a magical summer at Pacha Ibiza that brought the distinctive Cadenza sound to a whole new audience, Luciano and his Vagabundos crew are extending his association with the brand with a one-night-only, unmissable appearance at Pacha New York, kicking off week two of its 5-Year Anniversary celebration.

The night will offer more than just great music: It will be a full-fledged experience the likes of which have never been seen inside Pacha’s four walls. A full stage set, chandeliers, trunks, vintage posters, and umbrellas will transport guests back to the ‘30s, when the vagabundos, or vagabonds – think wanderers, tramps, or as Luciano has conceived them, slightly ghoulish carnies – first roamed. Pacha’s legendary dancers will join the costumed fun, while a makeup artist transforms any willing patron into a vagabundo. Plus, they’ll be Vagabundos-branded top hats for everyone, and that infamous red velvet curtain, which drops to conclude Luciano’s performance – just like in Ibiza.

Luciano will be joined by Robert Dietz, whose first Cadenza release “Home Run” came out in July; and Reboot, one of the hottest producers of the year, whose techy tracks “Shunyata” and “Hermano” rocked the summer,

Saturday, December 11
PART IV: Erick Morillo, Fedde Le Grand
It wouldn’t be a Pacha Anniversary celebration without Erick Morillo, Pacha’s co-owner and chairman of the board. On this extra-special night, he’ll be joined by international sensation Fedde Le Grand, the man behind mega-hits like “Put Your Hands Up For Detroit” and “Let Me Think About It.”

Morillo is consistently one of the top-ranked house DJs on the planet, bringing his party style across the globe and keeping the original music coming through his New Jersey-based imprint Subliminal Records. In a testament to his legacy of creating “best-nights-ever” every time he plays, he’s one of 35 jocks up for MixMag’s “The Greatest DJ of All Time” title.

Morillo is fresh off yet another wild summer on the White Isle, when his “Voodoo Nights” party lit up every Wednesday at Pacha Ibiza.

“I loved being able to carry on my role as the witch doctor, entrancing the dance floor with some very powerful Subliminal magic,” he said.

The man they call Fedde has an ear for pop but the chops of a nightclub DJ. He collaborated with artists like will.i.am and Stereo MCs on “Output,” the 2009 original album from which he’s still releasing singles (including the latest, “Rockin High”).

With these two partying and dropping bombs in the booth, the energy will be full-wattage all night long.

Sunday, December 12
PART V: Tenaglia Classics
DT takes us home with a classic Sunday party devoted to what else? Classics.

One of the greatest DJs of all time and a true New York legend, Danny Tenaglia embodies the music-first ethic of old school DJs, while embracing the newest sounds. His sets are known travel freely between house, techno, electro, dub, and every possible subgenre, while infusing elements of R&B, funk and soul.

The Grammy nominee and revered producer is in-demand on the world stage and beloved in New York, where his “Be Yourself” party is the stuff of legend, bringing new sounds to the city every Friday for five years.
Tonight, he explores his vast catalog of “classics” – past, present and future – wrapping up Pacha’s 5-Year celebration with a tribute to all the music that gives nightclubs their reason for being.
