The Black Rabbits self-titled EP hints at a sound best described as lackadaisical, with alt/pop-rock drums carrying  loose instrumentation, vocal melodies fitted snugly between. This group is distinct in its ability to mix moods, showcased especially in the track “Hypno Switch”, with dark lyrics balanced against a bouncy chorus that is easily hummable. The EP, ending on the campfire-acoustic  “Painter, Poet, Prophet, Priest”, reveals the band’s softness, a commendable flexibility that would make a full-release from this group danceable, interesting.
