It’s a shame South Africa isn’t know as a major producer of electronic music. Native-born EDM house genre kwaito has certainly increased the popularity of electronic music, and South African DJs enjoy a wide fanbase around the country.
Capetonian duo Crazy White Boy (aka Ryan Murgatroyd and Kosta Karatamoglou) and fellow South African vocalist Ruegroove teamed up to produce “Love You Better”, a simple and funky track that contains vocal elements of R&B and 90s house music and the unmistakable rhythms found in South African electronic music. It’s brilliant.
