We all know of New York City’s allure and ability to attract young people from all over the country and all over the world. Nadiah Hamzah, an NYU MFA candidate, is trying to show just that in her upcoming short film, “Hujan Panas”. The film will explore the life of a Malaysian immigrant in New York City and how he weighs in his expectations with the realities he faces.
Hamzah is currently fundraising for her film which she is partly funding herself. Shooting is set to begin in the middle of September.
