If you read Boomboomchik a bit, you know I’m partial to some funk/soul type ish. So when my friend sent me The Dap Kings and Prince of Ballard remix of Jay-Z‘s song “99 problems” I could only smile like crazy. With that smooth funk in the background, Jay-Z’s rap-rhythm comes to the foreground. Let’s forget that the subject matter and language are far removed from this kind of music, one that’s all about chillin’, having a good time, people spreading positive vibes around. But whatever: I got 99 problems, but this song ain’t one. Happy Friday!
