Mexican rock bands have a penchant for being f*cking awesome. Bands like Cafe Tacuba, Molotov, Zoe, Plastilina Mosh, Kinky to name a few – these folks bring it and they bring it hard. They incorporated electronic music into their rock for years before it became the thing to do, but never sacrificed rock. Rock is more than guitars blaring and shit, it’s an attitude. And Mexican rock bands have mad attitude, let me tell you.
Today though, I’m gonna bring a melodic jam from the amazing Cafe Tacuba. Off of their 2007 release, Sino, “Volver a Comenzar” is a seven minute journey into ethereal rock but isn’t spacey at any point. It’s simply fantastic – the first three minutes you get into the catchy tune and then before you know it the bridge kicks in which sounds like a totally different song. Friggin’ brilliant. Cafe Tacuba have been amazing us for years and it’s easy to see why.
This is an easy jam to get you going on a Monday morning as is the case for me right now. Don’t forget to puff puff pass. This stuff is too good to be kept secret.
