I came across Scooter at work and discovered one song in particular that got me pumping. “Ti Sento” is based on the 1986 song by the same name released by Italian group Matia Bazar. Scooter’s version enlists the vocals of former Matia Bazar frontwoman Antonella Ruggiero. I’m not a big fan of Scooter’s frontman Reverend H or his pseudo-rapping capabilities but the song is solid. Ruggiero’s vocals are extremely haunting and the two songs I think of incessantly when listening to this record is 2000’s “Spente Le Stelle” by Emma Shaplin and “I Turn to You” by Mel C. The video for the song isn’t bad, either. You may recall the films Sin City and The Fifth Element when watching this clip. Ruggiero is also in the video as the opera singer. Not bad, not bad at all.
