Another release from across the pond has landed in my inbox, this time its from an UK record label, Finger Lickin Records
This year Finger Lickin celebrated their 10th Anniversary, and to mark the occasion they put together the 3-CD limited edition boxset of tracks past and present. In this boxeset you can find Music from Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts & A-Skillz, Soul of Man and Drumattic Twins is all present plus some especially commissioned remixes from the Stanton Warriors, Utah Saints, Micky Slim and Lee Coombs.
There are definitely some good ass electro tracks in the 30 + songs that are in the collections
2 that i particularly liked was the Lee Cooombs track Future Sounds of Retro, and a Soul of Man track called Dizzy Heights
Listening to these tracks, i felt like if the Presets met BT and had a baby, it would be something similar to this. The build ups and transitions are awesome in these two tracks, and the use of different styles of sound really lends diversity to the tracks, however though i wish there were some more vocals / vocal samples, but regardless of that, there still high quality electro tracks.
