Your Monday morning jam comes courtesy of Brooklyn, MC, Jeff Wesson. Born and raised in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, he began rapping at the age of 13 and went on to work with fellow local acts around the neighborhood where he was given the rap moniker J Wesson by close friends who encouraged him to take rap more seriously outside of block ciphers and freestyle battles. He earned his stripes as one of the most lyrically-gifted and socially insightful rappers in the area, making music known for it’s balance of positivity, dark semi-autobiographical content, and raw emotion by entertaining crowds at open mic events.
He sent us over his latest single, “He’s Against Me” which was produced by !llmind to check out. This guy has some solid beats and some solid rhymes too which makes this song, and his others, pretty easy on the ears.
