Music You Need To Hear: Wave Machines

Wave Machines is a Liverpool based band that creates instinctive alt electro-pop that includes rhythms built on melodic sound effects, fun synth sounds and the falsetto vocals of front man Tim Bruzon. Think Hot Chip, XTC or The Beta Band, but a little more straight-forward

The band has released their debut album, Wave If You’re Really There, which was recorded in the bowels of the old organ room at St. Brides Church in England. This unusual setting really helped give a unique sound to the debut LP and even gave them a place to practice, perform and even throw concerts.

Bottom line is that these guys make good pop music that needs to be heard. You can stream their debut below and if you dig the tunes make sure to check out their store where you can by the album in the Limited Edition Deluxe, Limited Edition and Vinyl Deluxe packages, containing hand-signed Chess Club 7” vinyl singles.

The band is giving away a free remix from Artwork for their track, “Keep the Lights On”
