Pittsburgh singer/songwriter, Joy Ike, is one of those neo-soul artists who stay true to the moniker. Her recently released sophomore album, Rumors, has been compared to the likes Norah Jones, Fiona Apple, and Regina Spektor .
Her sound is the type that you would find on an iPod commercial, really upbeat, sweet, and has the right amount of pop. Sort of reminds me of Florence and the Machine. Maybe it’s the piano parts in her single, “Sweeter” that’s making me say that, but whatever it is, I’m feeling it.
