Stepadad is a electro-pop duo from Grand Rapids, MI. In the summer of ’09, members Ultramark and Cobrazebra began writing songs together in their Chicago apartment. In early 2010 they wrote the 80’s cop show style theme song for the enormously popular web comic Axe Cop which has since been used in the Axe Cop motion comic series.
With a sound the reminds me of Passion Pit and Yeasayer, but with way more synth action, Stepdad has finally finished their debut EP, Ordinaire and are giving it away for free from their bandcamp site. Check them out!
