Korallreven, made up of Marcus Joons and Daniel Tjäder, keyboardist for The Radio Dept, started on the South Pacific island of Samoa three years ago.The band is set to release an album later this year, but in advance of that, they wanted to give you a taste of what is to come with their single, The Truest Faith.
The music Korallreven makes is inspired by the local Samoan Catholic church choirs. This can easily be heard on the 2 tracks on the single. Both tracks are uplifting and dreamy at the same time. The tracks have this nice ambiance to them that I liken to the sprouting of summer from behind spring’s veil. Really relaxing and really good.
