I Was A Teenage Satan Worshipper is a 4 piece group from Helsinki. With a name like theirs you would think of some heavy death metal group in all black screaming their lungs out while super fast guitars provide the backdrop, well this group is the exact opposite.

IWATSW is a combination of electronic beats, punk rock, noise and surreal sonic landscapes. They make music that varies between the gritty industrial sounds of the past to the sweet, dreamy sounds of electro-pop. Their music at times can be dark, twisted, ambient, and have a lo-fi feel to it, but the one thing that stays constant through all the drifting are the pop-like melodies that lead the way.

IWATSW are set to release their debut album, Strange Lights, February 3rd on GAEA Records. Check out a few tunes from their album below.
