The Actors journey began when singer/bassist/keyboardist Phil Maves self-released a two-song single as The Actors and played sporadic live shows as a one-man electro-rock band. Soon after he decided to enlist the talent of drummer/percussionist/laptop man Justin Ward. After several drum ‘n’ bass rock jams in early 2009, the duo linked up with guitarist/keyboardist/singer Dan Leech to create the current line up. They released their debut EP, Anticipate Heat which you can pick up from fine digital retailers.

With a sound that is reminiscent of the Bravery, they definitely have an indie rock sound with a touch of electro. What I’m digging about this group is that they can get really upbeat and fast-paced, but at the same time slow it down a bit and jam out.
