Canadian electronic band, The Futureless, consisting of Nolan (vocals, keys, programming), Savard (keys, bass), and Tucker (vocals, keys, programming, guitar), has been transforming trance into their own unique style by taking it into the dark side of electronic pop. Their current EP Futura, which was made with award-winning producer/engineer Shawn Lefebvre (Muse, Dragonette, Cancer Bats, Billy Talent) in early 2009, highlights some of the bands new material that will be released on their debut full-length LP in Spring 2010.
Combining progressive trance, techno, ambiance, and indie styles, along with live instrumentation and drum/synth samples, The Futureless create a thought provoking sound that is intense, but yet surreal. The reserved/sparse vocals mesh perfectly with the driving rhythms and sounds giving the music a mysterious feel to it.
