So here’s an interesting take on reggeaton. The genre painfully sounds the same from song to song but then, you have artists like Pitbull who mix it up and bring reggeaton flava to the mainstream music scene. In collaboration with Akon and prod by DJ Clinton Sparks and DJ Snake, Pitbull’s new song “Shut it Down” brings Reggeaton, R&B, House and even dub step flavors to forefront.
With the advent of this new sound, it really points to how popular music is being shaped for the future.

I agree. As a dj, this track gets a good response from crowds, and I think it's hotter than Calle Ocho or Hotel Room Service. Seems like producers are mixing different genres together, and I'd like to see more of it.
