Here is a an artist i forgot about until recently. Her name is SASHA PERERA, but her band goes by the name of Jahcoozi.
She has an awesome voice. She is able to mix up the rap/singing over hot electronic/hip hop infused beats provided by Robot Koch, A Berlin based producer, as well as Oren Gerlitz providing instrumentation for all tracks.
Having a similar feeling as M.I.A. or Santogold, this Emcee really does bring it to all her work. Their sound, although not unique, infuses that tribalish, grindcore, downbeat swagger which lends to different style tracks that should not be overlooked.
This is definitely an artist to sit back with, light one up, and enjoy the sonic frequencies. Enjoy
