So i was able to land me a copy of the new Killers album a little bit Early. I was really interested to see what they did with this album after hearing and reviewing their first single, Human,
I’ll leave it at this, i wasn’t too surprised with what i heard, i mean, i liked it, but at the same time i was like…yep the killers made this album.
I am not saying that that is a bad thing, in fact, it may even be a good thing. the Killers have fused a sound that is their own. That combination of glam rock, pop, and power anthems really drive their unique sound. And of course Brandon Flowers (lead singer) vocals are distinct and really cut through the mixes. I actually enjoy listening to his voice.
One thing that was different this time is that i noticed they used a lot more instruments, wordy ones too. Definitely adds a new flavor to some of their tracks, one that i hope they explore more in the future
In the end I am very happy with this album, i enjoy listening too it (and I’m sure it would be even better if my headphones didn’t crap out!!!)
Anyway, below are a few tracks that i thought stood out the most for me on this album. Take a listen.
