We are gonna take it down a notch this afternoon with a beautiful track called “Colour of Fire” from Mechanical Bride, aka 25 year old songwriter and self-taught musician Lauren Doss. Ms Doss is gearing up to release her debut album, Living With Ants, which will be released on June 6th via Transgressive Records.
The tune reminds me a lot of Damien Rice (who remembers him?) and has this really haunting, yet beautiful piano melody surrounded by her enchanting voice.
