After nearly 2 years of touring relentlessly, Sole, one of the founding members of the Anticon Collective and key figure in the experimental hip hop movement, returns with his Skyrider Band on the album Plastique, the follow-up LP to Sole & the Skyrider Band’s debut.
Plastique drops October 13th on Fake Four Inc., but in the meantime they have dropped a Single EP to wet your appetite called Battlefields EP
“Battlefields,” features Markus Archer of The Notwist, and has a catchy dubbish guitar melody. Mr Archer provides a hook that is airy, sweet, soft, but with a hint of sadness. The beat itself is is very laid back, and at a slower BPM which helps to really push the idea that Sole is trying to get through, “Art is War” on all levels.
