“Stand Alright” is the debut single, for UK duo, Paper Crows. These young artists incorporate elements of dubstep, and trip-hop into their productions while adding, serene, chilling vocals courtesy of sultry singer Emma Panas, and artist who has been obsessively writing songs since she was 14 years old.
Ms. Panas met the other half of Paper Crows, Duncan McDougall, at music college in Kilburn, London. The pair immediately bonded and decided that instead of paying attention in lessons, they would write songs and sneak off to record them at Duncan’s house.
What I like about “Stand Alright” is the movement in the song. It starts of with some serene, tranquil guitars until it breaks into some wobbly, bass heavy dubstep, piano melodies and those haunting vocals that take you on a trip from the light to dark.
“Stand Alright” will be released on October 11th.
