Listen up ladies and gentlemen, I want to tell you about this really cool, new project my friend Hannah is starting — It is called AudioMole
AudioMole is a utility for connecting communities with the underground artists that live in them. Started by two New Yorkers with a passion for music, it gives New York’s music lovers the ability to search for local underground acts that are often so underground that they’re rarely seen or heard from again. The site will give those artists the tools to promote themselves virtually and on the streets! (see presslet for more info)
The way the site works is that you create a profile featuring images, videos and sound clips as well as information about where you will be when you are out and about, so fans can easily find you.
The site isn’t just for artists though, if you’re a regular Joe the Plumber, you can search for music, art or performances that interest you by date, location, genre, time of day, etc. For those of you whole live the on-the-go life style, you can download the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad app so you can keep up-to-date with your favorite artists.
