Since it is Tuesday, it is only appropiate that we hit you some new, wicked tunes. This Tuesday we have South London post-punk/power pop trio Manilow. People have compared this group to bands such as Sonic Youth, Bauhuas and Television and I understand why. Their music, is fast, grungy, and energetic and all around awesome.

Their latest outing is their debut EP, Cease and Desist, a wired blend of punk, alternative rock and power pop that has multiple listening potential. The distorted guitars, hard and brash voice cloaked in delectable melodic hooks definitely makes for sonic pleasure.

What is nice about their sound is that it can’t be pigeonholed. The 11 track EP explore themes of escape and psychosis through a raw energy that can only be captured when some mates get together and jam out. Id say the best way to experience the album is from front to back and truly see what these guys are capable of

Stream Cease and Desist below and leave your thoughts in the comments. If you dig their sound, which I know you will, you can pick up the album from their Bandcamp page.

enjoY!
