We have some new music to share with you courtesy of Zurich based concept artist, Marty McKay. He sent us over a copy of his latest release, Sin’s Disciple, to check out and boy did we got a full multimedia experience. Sin’s Disciple is only 1/2 of his debut concept project, Project 7, which also includes a graphic novel called ‘Dante’s Disciple’ that is a modern day graphical retelling of the 7 deadly sins.
On the album part, McKay embeds his messages into stories that speak on the trouble of human behavior. Each track on the album embodies one of the deadly sins that is masked around pop hooks, and catchy melodies to give a crossover mix of pop, rap, and nu-rock. Think Nickelback, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit mixed with some POD. What’s even crazier about this guy is that the whole album is in English, even though English is not his first language.
