Today, I would like to introduce you to a band that I am quite intrigued by. They go by the name Simply Diamond, and if you couldn’t guess, they are an awesome Neil Diamond Tribute Band/Cover band fronted by lead singer, Brian La Blanc, a singer, songwriter and musician from the New York area. Mr. La Blanc started this cover band after Paul Shaffer (from the Letterman show) heard him singing one of Neil Diamond’s songs. Paul was astounded at just how much alike Brian sounded to the real Neil Diamond. He talked to Brian and the rest is history, he advised Brian to form a Neil Diamond Tribute Cover Band. With a little assist from Brian’s wife, they decided on the name, “Simply Diamond” and the Neil Diamond Tribute Show and journey officially began.
I was checking out some of these guys’ covers and it is quite uncanny how much they sound like the original Neil Diamond (If you don’t know who he is watch this).
