Pleasure Curses are a duo (Jahn Alexander Teetsov & Evan Maxwell Grice) based out of Washington DC/VA who take influences from new wave post-punk, synth pop and early electronic dance music. They met while attending the same summer camp when they were 10 years old and started making music together again after a chance meeting a decade later.
Their new single, “Bounce Above” is a stellar cut that will have you moving immediately with the infectious bass/synth/guitar combo. Sort of reminds me of Laid Backs’ classic track, “White Pony,” mixed with some of The Rapture. Check it out for yourself and tell me what you think!
