This remix that I’m about to share with you guys is from collabs that are a prime example of what can be done when you get like minded talent to focus on one thing, good music. First off, the original artist is Glitch Mob. Glitch Mob consists of Ooah (Josh Mayer), Boreta (Justin), and edIT (Ed Ma) who are some some dope, Cali glitch/dub producers. The group is new to scene and are set to show the world their sound with their debut performance at Coachella (I’ll be there covering it). The group will also be releasing their debut album, Dink the Sea, on May 25th.
The remix goes to King Fantastic, the new project between Troublemaker, and Killer Reese One. They remixed the track “Drive It Like You Stole It” and gave it this nice Cali hip hop feel–definitely can hear Troublemaker in the production. Check it out below.
enjoY!
The Glitch Mob – Drive It Like You Stole It (King Fantastic Remix)
Maybe I’m missing something, but how is the beat different from the original apart from the rearranged drops? Anyway, Reese definitely does this shit justice, one of the few instrumental tracks that offer more than an up-and-coming rapper attempting to plug himself by associating his name with something or someone more famous.
