Living Days is a NYC based New-Wave band that is invoking the sounds of the past to create something modern and fresh. The quintet is fronted by Stephonik Youth and an assemblage of indie music all-stars, including former members of Matisyahu, and sci-fi thrash band AQUI, Lee Scratch Perry, and touring members of Coco Rosie. Living Days is gearing up to release their debut LP, Make Out Room. With the album they enlisted talented producer and former chief engineer of The Magic Shop, Matt Boynton (MGMT, The Butthole Surfers, The Lemonheads).
With a sound that brings to mind a cross of The Cure with some Talking Heads and a bit of Yeasayer, the band has created a sound that is very bright and robust. From the first second of their single, “Go Oblivion”, you know you are in for a delicious pop gem with the 80’s synth sounds that we all now can sound cheesy, but just works no matter what. As The song progresses it soon breaks into this all out rock jam with big guitars , punchy melodies and a really catchy chorus that just makes you feel good.
Make Out Room will be released later this year.
enjoY!
Ripoff dance music a-la-80’s New Order, Suburban Lawns, etc..very mediocre and hackneyed..don’t waste your time.
Man, I don’t know what you are listening to but this band is on fire. Check out their myspace page, it’s hit after hit. You must be a jealous frustrated musician. Don’t worry, the pain will go away in about 20 years.
