Here is the skinny on this guy, German born, but British bred, Ludwig Amadeus is a London based songwriter and producer who makes some funky fun electro-pop beats.
With his latest single, “God Only Knows My Shoe Size” he went 3 days straight with no sleep to write the song, yet he has no idea what it is about. Regardless of what it means, if anything at all, the track is ridiculously contagious.
What I love about the track is the simplicity of it. You have a very catchy simple baseline with a steady backbeat, and that’s the majority of the song, sure he adds little piano riffs and what not, but it just comes to show you that sometime less is more. Plus the hook is very, very singable which only augments the repeat rate in my book.
