I remember turning on the Artful Dodger‘s It’s All About the Stragglers album and being just wowed by his sound/production (first Garage album I listened to). Well i got that same feeling when listening to this remix of a track from Brooklyn producer Kingdom.
The track is called “Mindreader” and it is a nice little techno/2step track that holds it own, but the remix by CFCF IMHO really brings out the vocals which are a centerpiece of the track. The Remix reminds me of Re-Rewind (ft Craig David) by Artful Dodger and was pretty rad.
The double a-side 10″ single has been released on the Acephale label with a digital release, including some other remixes of the track, through the Fools Gold Imprint. If you are really looking for something special, you can also find a special limited edition foil embossed cover (only 500 were made) for sale as well on the Acephale site.
