I have been a fan of Uk producer Fear of Tigers ever since I heard his remix of Anoraak’s track “Nightdrive With You.” He brought that nu-wave/disco sound to our ears and we were quite impressed. With a few other original productions/remixes floating around, it was inevitable that he was going to put out a full length album; Cossus Snufsigalonica is the name of that album.
After the first listening session of the album you can tell that this record has massive potential. Every track is uplifting and feel-good with his 80’s dance infused disco tracks. What I also like about his productions is that he uses really cool vocal samples sporadically to grace the tracks so not to take away from the beautiful melodies a sonic landscapes painted underneath.
Some tracks to check out are “Please Don’t Leave” with its driving arppegiator and awesome vocal sample. “Cossus Snufsigalonica” which reminds me of an early Madonna track. “Friday Night At Geek Club” which has a bassline straight of New order’s “Bizzare Love Triangle” and “The Rich Cry Too” which makes use of a wicked horn sample.
And what makes this album even more amazin’ is that you can download it for FREE!! Get it.
enjoY!

Actually, the verse (mean verse, not refrain) of the song “Cossus Snufsigalonica” is the same as the verse in Corona’s “Rhythm of the night” (’94 eurodance track).
