Jame Murphy, aka DFA Records Owner, aka LCD Soundsystem is set to release his latest album come next March.

Since we all know that this is a long time to wait for some new material from that disco pirate, he has released the first single, “Bye Bye Bayou” which is a crazed space-disco cover of Suicide member Alan Vega’s 1980 solo cut.

The track has your quintessential LCD Soundsystem sounds–simple grooving bass, nice percussion, and a simple, progressive arrangement. I wonder if this is what his new material will sound like?

Check out the original at 22 Tracks, (really cool site that plays 22 song playlists form Amsterdam DJs) but in the meantime check out the Ernold Sane Re-Rub.

Even though this guys can be the biggest pretentious musician sometimes, he makes some dope ass music.
