It seems like the Scandinavian countries are really igniting the music scene of lately, that’s why it’s no surprise that Swedish duo Klader & Vapen, have ended up in our inbox.

The guys that discovered The Gossip, Backyard Records (also responsible for Chromeo, Tronik Youth and The Similou) have recently launched an imprint label, Pin-Up Records, which has signed the Swedish duo.

The way they were discovered was through the re-working of a track by Sweedish singer, Anna Ternheim. Critically acclaimed, Anna won 2 Swedish Grammy Awards for Best Female Artist and Album of the Year.

The re-working was originally done from a cd-track by fellow Swedes Johan Isaksson and Rasmus Sundqvist. When Anna and her label heard KOV’s re-interpretation of both this and a further track of Anna’s, “My Heart Still Beats For You,” they gave their full blessing for Pin Up Records to release the tracks.

The track straight up reminds me of “Until We Bleed,” the collab that Kleerup and Lykii Li did, but a little more upbeat. The song is very mellow and chill while Anna provides some beautiful, haunting, ambient vocals to amuse the ears. Definitely a track you would hear at the end of the night, or in a “posch” Euro club.
