Got a fresh news track from Brooklyn Duo, Jemex & Dean Gray. They have put a new twist on an original tune they did back in the day. We covered the Original Version of ‘Dance Till Day’ a little while back on BBC, but the duo have remixed it into something totally new and dreamy.
The intro of the Dance Till Day (Dream Mix) is enough in itself to get your head buzzing with musical excitement. One is instantly drawn in to the mix by a sound which can only be described as sounding like the blades of a helicopter rotating at high speed, the beat flies around and encircles your ears creating a sense of anticipation which is met with an erratic yet melodic bass line, you got to love a snare drum that sounds like a hand clap – always a winner, providing the backdrop for this classic Jemex styled remix.
Dean Gray then steps in with his soft yet powerful vocals which echo, twist, fade and jump throughout the track mixing in perfectly with the indeed “dream like” production. Jemex and Dean Gray definitely complement each other, blending together seamlessly but at the same time still managing to display their own unique qualities and skills within the track. All in all, this is the perfect contemporary urban lullaby that keeps me engaged and not wanting to hit the next button after the first minute.
You can buy the track at itunes as well as their latest EP, Square !
