While my ipod was on random shuffle, this song came on — Baby Diamonds – Teenagers (Mr. Gaspar Remix)
Hailing from LA, Mr. Gaspar is another one of those remixers who are blowing up the LA dance scene (i.e. LA Riots) His remixes take on a distinct sound, which is nice in an electro world where things start to sound similar.
This song, Teenagers, by Baby Diamonds, is an amazing song. Although its a remix, i think it is pretty good, maybe even better that the original.
I mean as soon as the tracks starts you have that catchy, catchy electro bass hook, with the driving dance beat in the background. Then a few seconds later you got the sporadic vocals clips — “Boy your not a slut…girl im not a dick..” amazin. the way he cuts the vox into the track makes you want repeat that lick over and over and over.
Although the track is 10 minutes long, it really will get you moving and keep your attention with the driving rhythm… check it out.
