Denmark Group, Alcoholic Faith Mission, are set to release their third album, Let This Be The Last Night We Care, on April 27th. The band, whose sound can be best described as a reserved mix of electronica and rock, got their name from an ironic corruption of a neon sign in Brooklyn titled “apostolic faith mission.” From this sign members Thorben Seierø Jensen and Sune Sølund set off on their search for a musical road-less-traveled adding a few other members along the way.
With their first single from the album, “My Eyes to See,” you have a nice slice of indie pop. What I really like about this track is the ambiance of the instrumentation– It’s sort of soothing the way the guitars sound with the bass in the track. Also, the drums really set the pace for the track making it moving and inspirational which contrasts really well with the beautiful melodies sung with melancholic lyrics.
Alcoholic Faith Mission will be heading out on a tour of the northeastern U.S in April and May to support their album.
