Solid Gold – Matter of Time

Minneapolis indie-electro outfit Solid Gold (Zach Coulter, Matthew Locher, and Adam Hurlburt) have been creating music together since the band’s formation in 2001. Over the past few years they’ve honed in on what is now their signature tranced-out, disco-kissed, electronic-indie sound.

“Matter of Time” is Solid Gold’s first release since its 2008 debut album, Bodies of Water. According to Guitarist Adam Hurlburt, “‘Matter of Time’ is a song that we’ve been kickin’ around for over a year, but it didn’t really come together until we went into the studio and recorded it for Green Label Sound.”

The track illustrates perfectly what indie electronic rock is. Nice dance beat surrounded by ambient guitars and airy vocals, and of course that haunting synth courtesy of the MicroKorg that adds a little bit mystique to the track.

Solid Gold will be performing tonight with Amazing Baby, Theophilus London, Holy Ghost! and Chromeo at Brooklyn Bowl in Billyburg

enjoY!
