As I mentioned before, I’m currently applying for a Fulbright grant to teach English and American Studies to Portuguese university students. In addition to that piece of the grant, I’m also adding an MTVU supplement to my application which would allow me to blog about Portuguese music while in Portugal and be featured on MTVU.
Over the past few weeks I’ve done some research on popular Portuguese music and stumbled upon Boss AC who released his album Preto no Branco earlier this year and collaborated with Akon on a remix of his track “I Wanna Love You“.
Boss AC’s album Preto no Branco is Hip-Hop Tuga (aka Portuguese Hip-Hop)at it’s finest. Bringing Portuguese, Reggae, Hip-Hop, R&B and Latin influences to the forefront.
We’ll have more hotness from Boss AC later but for now, have a listen to his hit És Tão Bonita.
