German duo, I’m Not A Band makes what they call “alternative electro pop,” and I believe that they have hit that spot on.
Composed of members Stephan J (a classically trained musician) and Jana D, I’m not a Band has a crafted a “different” type of electro pop sound with their latest track “Trainthoughts.” It is not as poppy as some of the other producers you would classify as electro pop, but its does push the boundaries of the genre with its dark offbeat melodies and Jana D’s soft, but beautiful vocals. Ohh, and you cant forget about violins–adds the perfect touch!
