Music You Need To Hear: Mochipet

Mochipet combines elements hip hop, dubstep, 8bit, IDM, glitch, metal and chopped and screwed to create some very cohesive interesting music. The tracks he creates are unique, and he is definitely in a league of his won. If you were to take similar acts like Flying Lotus and ediT and multiply them by 10 then include any type of electronic sound possible, you’ll have Mochipet.

Mochipet‘s is set to release his new album “Master P On Atari.” I was able to listen to his latest album and what i heard were crazy beats and bizarre melodies using tons of samples to go around, but yet they all came together in the end, Bravo!

Mochipet is currently working on several new projects including ones with Joyo Velarde, Lyrics Born, Antipop Consortium’s M. Sayyid, and Chicago ‘s MC Zulu– so be on the look out for them. enjoy these two tracks from his album

Be on the lookout for this guy in 2009

enjoy!
